Yes, we finally met this year!
Our TeamBuilding retreat was a blast! We couldn’t wait to see each other again!
Remote work has many advantages, but it can also be isolating. One of the biggest challenges of working from home is not being able to build relationships with your colleagues in person. Even if you talk to them every day, it’s not the same as seeing them face-to-face.
That’s why we were so excited to finally meet in person this year! We were able to get together in Paltinis, Sibiu, Romania, and spend two days bonding as a team.
We started our trip with an Albanian-style barbecue made by our colleague. Albanians barbecues are the same as Romanian barbecues, but made by an Albanian 🙂
It was a great way to get to know each other and celebrate our diversity.
What have we done on this TeamBuilding?
We spent two days pushing our physical strength to new levels and bonding as a team.
On our first day, we visited Arka Park, a ropes course and zip line adventure park. We learned that we were stronger than we thought! We worked together to navigate the challenging obstacles, and we had a lot of fun playing games like trust falls and blindfolded challenges.
We were exhausted by the end of the day, but we were also feeling accomplished and proud of ourselves. We had learned to trust each other and work together as a team, and we had made some great memories together.
The next day, we went paintballing. This was a completely different experience from the ropes course, but it was just as much fun. We were all a little nervous at first, but we quickly got into the swing of things. We laughed, we cheered, and we even got a few bruises.
After paintballing, we had lunch in Sibiu. We refueled and then headed to our next activity: archery. We had never tried archery before, but we were all eager to learn. We learned how to hold the bow and arrow properly, and we practiced our aim. We even got to shoot some targets!
Archery was a great way to end our TeamBuilding retreat. It was a challenge, but we all did it together. We learned a new skill, and we had a lot of fun. We went to Vektor Club Sibiu for this. We had a great time learning archery from the experienced instructors.
What have we learned on the TeamBuilding?
We all came away from the TeamBuilding feeling more confident and stronger. We learned to trust each other and work together as a team. We also had a lot of fun and made some great memories. I can definitely say that a TeamBuilding retreat is the best thing any company can do if they are looking to improve morale and productivity.
Here are some of the specific things we learned about ourselves and our colleagues during the TeamBuilding:
- We are all stronger than we think. We were able to overcome some challenging obstacles that we never thought we would be able to do.
- We can trust each other. We had to rely on each other to complete the challenges, and we never let each other down.
- We are a team. We worked together to achieve our goals, and we had a lot of fun doing it.
As a conclusion…
We had a wonderful time on our TeamBuilding retreat, and we’re all so glad that we finally got to meet in person. It was a great opportunity to build relationships, learn new things, and have some fun.
We learned a lot about each other during our trip, both personally and professionally. We learned that we are all stronger than we think, and that we can accomplish anything if we work together. We also learned that we have a lot in common and that we are all passionate about our work.
We are all looking forward to our next team-building retreat, and we can’t wait to see what adventures we have in store!
We are all grateful for the opportunity to have met in person and to have built stronger relationships with our colleagues. We are excited to continue working together and to create even more amazing things in the future.
The road home was long, especially because people traveled from Albania, Moldova, and different parts of Romania too. Thankfully, we all made it home safe. And people already shared their favourite locations for next year!
